Distribution of commodities in the Concordia area is scheduled for July 18 at the First United Methodist Church, 740 West 11th St.
Those picking up commodities are asked to use the lower parking lot and basement door at the church. Doors will open at 11:15 a.m. and close at 12:15 p.m.
A lunch of sandwiches and cookies will be served.
Preregistration is required by calling 243-4560 by 3 p.m. on July 16. Give your name, the number of people in the household and a contact number.
Proof of income should be presented when picking up commodities.
A variety of foods will be distributed to households meeting the following income guidelines:
Income for single person must not be over $1,276 per month; two person family, not over $1,726; three person family, not over $2,177; four person family, $2,628; for each additional family member add $451.
Those qualifying for cash assistance programs such as WIC, food stamps, Vision card, etc. also qualify for commodities.
